SFMU Diploma in Library Management and Information Science OVERVIEW:

Library Management and Information Science includes academic studies on how library resources are used and how people interact with library systems. The organization of knowledge for efficient retrieval of relevant information is a major research goal of library education.Bangladesh has had a slow and steady growth of library education, which started before independence and at present it is continuing from certificate course to PhD level in Bangladesh.On the continuation of LMIS education, some private university and institutes are conducting Diploma course in the said subject. Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University (SFMU- an emerging and first private university of Mymensingh division) is one of them to offer one year  diploma course in LMIS which was started from 2016.
